Ladies and Gentlemen, Time flies, if u dun already know that. In fact, time has flown so fast that its time for me to expect my car as my birthday present. and its time to spend some of this fast flying time looking back in time. This, is what I discovered: I realised that i had several dreams yet to be fulfilled. i aimed to create my current account, have my cheque book within 2 weeks of turning 21. today as i write this, im counting $2.85 in coins, $4.93 in my EZ-link card and a combined total of $7.68 in 3 bank accounts as all my assets' worth. I realised i was a rubbish collector. My room actually held loads of junk. heres a list of some of the things which i dug up at the excavation site -- stacks of sec sch and jc notes, all my letters, 12 x jc collar pins, old photographs, my remaining collection of bus tickets (gave the bulk of it to yvonne 3yrs ago), magnesium ribbon that i took from the chemistry lab in sec3, complete x straits times dated 14 Jun 1994, 1 x Ericcson GF768 handphone, 1 x memojazz I pager which I bought in 1997, etc. To view the complete inventory list (as well as the excavation site), visit me @ MYROOM. Since young, ive always wanted to adopt a cat. my mother insistently refused to allow a cat at home due to the fur problem. i like cats. i love cats. i dun like dogs. it doesnt matter even though i had been bitten by a cat when i was 3. i still like cats. my wife must be a FELINER. I have a passion for drawing since young. with the aid of several of my frens i actually came up with a series of comics in p4. however, that passion was murdered in 1996 by the most fucked up art teacher i've ever come across. My list of fave singers started off with Yi Neng Jing in 1990 and changed over the yrs to Meng Ting Wei to Grasshoppers to Tarcy Su to Wang Jing Wen to Fan Xiao Hsuan to Valen Hsu to Kelly Chen to Sandy Lam to Zhou Hui to Kelly Chen to Faye Wong to Namie Amuro to 500 to Ayumi Hamasaki to Faye Wong to S.H.E. to Jolin Tsai to Boa to Jolin Tsai to S.H.E. to Jolin Tsai and finally back to Valen Hsu. what a list. I finally got my driving licence! fuck. i've got no car. The same shit thing happened 5yrs ago when i got my powerboat licence. fuck. i still got no boat. I used to have lotsa lobangs. Comics, magic cards, handphones, gambling dens (in sajc), bowling pins, and some not so legal services that i used to provide. The holes have mostly been filled up since. 11yrs of a all-male environment did much to shape me into who i am now. it had an astounding effect. maybe thats why I see no point in returning to my alma mater. I foresaw part of my future then. i visited NUS in either 97 or 98 and i had a fucking feeling i'd never make it there. i never did. i never recalled this feeling until only recently when i lost my way in NUS serching frantically for the UCC for TQ04 (cos i was late) that i came across the very same spot where i stood on 6 yrs ago when i had that fucking feeling. anyway, knowing that now, it goes in line with my vow never to be involved in the vicious cycle that never ends. I discovered that the happiest days of my schooling time was during the 3 mths of my first 1st-intake (in sajc). my life would have taken an entirely different path had 1st-intake lasted just 2 weeks more. unknown to me at that time, this would in turn lead to the first of 3 biggest most crucial mistakes i would later make in my life. I enlisted one yr later than the majority of my peers. this means they'll shout "ORD LOH" way before me (in fact, some have already ORDed) but it also means that i miss the 10day field camp, start getting recruit pay at $350, clash with the budget cut for 5.56mm hence less and faster live firing sessions, and most importantly, having an extensive network of frens firmly established everywhere in the SAF, all who can guide me and help cover my arse. this certainly beats shouting "ORD LOH" earlier, since everyone will serve essentially the same amount of liability. I hated that shithole (read: NYJC) but incredibly i spent 2.5yrs there. help. On 2nd Jan 2001, at the age of 17yrs 7mths and 7days, it finally dawned upon me that it was time to stop fucking around and get a girl and get a life. it would take me antoher 23mths before i succeeded at getting my 1st girlfriend. I realised i had wasted all 3 yrs in jc. in the 3 yrs, i had the intention to jio 54 girls, of which 17 had no chance at all, 26 no balls to approach, 11 hits -- 1 success, 2 failures, 1 ambiguous (till now no reply), 5 discovered it was a mistake last min abort mission, and the final 2 still under way. that one success came about after 23mths of waiting and pestering. (now broke up liao) I realised some goals are soon becoming fantasies as i grow older. i always wanted to get married by the age of 22. i noe u pple will say i SIAO LAH but read my reasoning on my blog. Im still infatuating about the girl i first met at HIHS on the 8th Aug 1998. even till today i still occasionally stammer, go blank and get high when i see or talk to her. i havent met up with her since 6th dec 2002 and i hope i'll be able to meet her soon. I joined the Legion of Mary on 23rd Jul 1998. Something would happen exactly 2 weeks later and that will be the key event that would get me extremely involved in all Legion activities till jun 2000. I dragged my arse thru the remaining 2yrs in Legion from jul 2000 all the way till i left in sep 2002. i figured that the only thing that kept me going was that our Dearest Most Holy Mother is Commander-in-Chief of this Legion and She will never let me wither my life away while im under Her charge. In the past 2 decades of my life i sincerely believe that i've come across more than 2000 persons and accquaintanced myself with at least half of them. today i count not more than 250 accquaintances and approximately 20 friends. the rest have become strangers. some so strange that i could have actually interacted with any of them and yet had not known. Im planning on starting a business by age 25. fuck, thats wat 500,000 other singaporeans are thinking of and 300,000 of them are in a better financial position than me to even dream of it. I discovered that in this world, u succeed becos u have money and connections. with money, u can buy watever u want, but if u have connections, u can reach places where money cant reach. I was an anti-social bastard. i needed the hell alot of time entirely to myself. fuck i think i still am now. i constantly kid myself, but i've achieved nothing worth mentioning. really. but i will get over all these and get on with life. u too, u shd get back to work. now.
